To know about your existence (and of some other young jesuits in formation) is a real consolation. I am not yet so old (51), but for many years the Society seemed to be unable to welcome faithful young men into its heart, at least in some provinces (I am a member of the French province but working in the Philippines. I studied at Weston between 1985-1988 and I know a little about the American situation). Therefore, to witness such a renewal in the US is a grace. I would like to encourage all of you. Go on being lights of truth and charity. You can count on my poor and faithful prayer. With my blessing. Fraternally yours in Christo Jesu.
Whosoever Desires
to serve as a soldier of God beneath the banner of the cross in our Society, which we desire to be designated by the name of Jesus, and to serve the Lord alone and the Church his Spouse, under the Roman pontiff, the vicar of Christ on earth, should, after a vow of perpetual chastity, poverty, and obedience, keep the following in mind." Dear Brothers, PC
